In all these fields the sanitary engineer proposes and creates effective solutions and implements them with leadership and efficiency criteria.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The curriculum of the Sanitary Engineering Program is composed of 10 academic semesters covering with depth and breadth the areas of basic sciences, engineering sciences, environmental sanitation, water supply and sewage, water and waste treatment, and sanitary installations. Theory and practice are integrated throughout the curriculum, solving diverse engineering problems, and using specialized equipment and software in modern laboratories.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Sanitary Engineering Program together with the Environmental Engineering Program, and the Industrial Safety and Hygiene Engineering Program constitute the Environmental Engineering College which forms professional engineers that work for the development of a clean and healthy environment where people and industry live and interact in a fruitful and sustainable long term relationship.<\/p>\n<p><!-----------------------------OLD\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Phone:<\/strong><\/span><\/strong><strong>\n\nEl Ingeniero Sanitario formado en la UNI, es un profesional con s\u00f3lida formaci\u00f3n, innovador, gestor y l\u00edder, con gran capacidad de s\u00edntesis y an\u00e1lisis de problemas, apto para continuar estudios de perfeccionamiento en el postgrado, capaz de insertarse al mercado laboral de cualquier regi\u00f3n del pa\u00eds o del extranjero. Aplica los principios de la Ingenier\u00eda al ambiente del trabajo, para la protecci\u00f3n y promoci\u00f3n de la salud.\n\n\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #6b0100;\">Professional Competencies of Sanitary\u00a0Engineering<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\nEl Ingeniero Sanitario es el encargado de la aplicaci\u00f3n de los principios de la ingenier\u00eda al medio ambiente del hombre en relaci\u00f3n con el agua, aire, suelo, alimentos, vivienda y centros de trabajo, para la protecci\u00f3n y promoci\u00f3n de la salud.\n\nLos campos de acci\u00f3n del ingeniero sanitario son:\n\n\n<ol>\n \t\n\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">En el Sector del Saneamiento Ambiental: desarrolla las actividades de direcci\u00f3n t\u00e9cnica, coordinaci\u00f3n, organizaci\u00f3n, normalizaci\u00f3n, control, tarifaci\u00f3n, dise\u00f1o, construcci\u00f3n y operaci\u00f3n de servicios de salud p\u00fablica; de las municipalidades (abarcando sus \u00e1reas urbanas y rurales); de las empresas privadas de saneamiento ambiental; y de las firmas constructoras y consultoras que dan servicio a este sector.<\/li>\n\n\n \t\n\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">En el Sector de Agua Potable y Desag\u00fce: desarrolla actividades de direcci\u00f3n t\u00e9cnica, coordinaci\u00f3n, organizaci\u00f3n, normalizaci\u00f3n, tarifaci\u00f3n, dise\u00f1o, construcci\u00f3n, operaci\u00f3n y control de servicios de empresas de agua potable y desag\u00fce, sea directamente o por intermedio de las firmas constructoras o consultoras que corresponden a este sector.<\/li>\n\n\n \t\n\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">En el sector de las Disposiciones de Desechos S\u00f3lidos: desarrolla actividades de direcci\u00f3n t\u00e9cnica, coordinaci\u00f3n, normalizaci\u00f3n, dise\u00f1o, operaci\u00f3n y control de los servicios de recolecci\u00f3n de desechos s\u00f3lidos y de disposici\u00f3n final.<\/li>\n\n\n \t\n\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">En el sector de las Instalaciones Sanitarias Interiores :desempe\u00f1ando las actividades de direcci\u00f3n t\u00e9cnica, coordinaci\u00f3n, normalizaci\u00f3n, dise\u00f1o, control y eventual operaci\u00f3n de las instalaciones en la edificaciones principalmente al servicio de los entes publicos y de las personas jur\u00eddicas o naturales del sector privado que tengan a su cargo tales edificaciones en sus etapas de: dise\u00f1o, construcci\u00f3n y operaci\u00f3n.
